STS Special Transportation and bus .

Vocational Rehabilitation
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a federal-state program that helps people who have physical or mental disabilities get or keep a job. VR is committed to helping people with disabilities find meaningful careers.
STS Special Transportation
Special Transportation Service (STS) is Miami-Dade Transit’s complementary paratransit service. STS is available to eligible members.  Privately contracted sedans, vans and vans equipped with lifts provide door-to-door service for eligible customers. Service is offered with no restrictions on trip purpose.
Social Security
The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a federal program that pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and resources.

 

Training and Education

Success at Work’s main goal is to support the participation of individuals in daily, meaningful, valued routines of the community including work ­like settings and supported employment. 

Success at Work helps our adults with special needs and their family find the appropriate resources and organizations that can provide daily care services and training needed in order to lead a productive life as independent adults.

Our services include social and health-related therapeutic services and activities, self-care training, nutritional services, and more. These services encourage independence and engagement through participation in meaningful activities that include but are not limited to: arts and crafts; computer classes, stretching or other gentle group exercises; Zumba/sing-a-longs; sewing/knitting; physical stimulation activities such as coloring and handwriting exercises; mental stimulation games such as bingo; discussion groups; current events, such as holidays and birthday; educational programs; health and nutrition awareness activities.

Learn Baking and Cooking with a chef
Classes with a professional baker to make and design cakes, cupcakes, and other bakery goods.
Learn to fill out essential forms
Members will learn and practice filling out employment applications, college applications, and other essential forms.
Learn survival skills
We will help our members learn survival and social skills that will help improve their quality of life.
